Meta Expands Muse AI Assistant to iPad
Meta has expanded the availability of its artificial intelligence assistant, Muse, with the launch of a dedicated iPad application, according to a report by TechCrunch. The release comes just one month after the assistant made its debut on iOS and Android devices on September 8.
Sensor Tower data cited by TechCrunch indicates that Muse has surpassed 6.6 million installations since its initial release. The consumer-facing artificial intelligence agent allows users to manage emails, meetings, and bills, as well as complete transactions such as booking reservations and ordering groceries by connecting various third-party accounts.
Alongside the iPad release, Meta updated its list of integration partners, known as connectors. The newly added enterprise and small business tools include Asana, Canva, Dropbox, Figma, QuickBooks, GitHub, Klaviyo, Zoom, Notion, and Granola, alongside connections for Meta ad accounts. The company also integrated retail partners such as Best Buy, Gap, Sephora, Walmart, and Wayfair to enable the assistant to handle retail purchases.
To address issues where automated website defenses block agents, Meta announced it is collaborating with industry partners to develop an open standard. This standard would allow personal artificial intelligence agents to properly identify themselves to businesses and differentiate legitimate traffic from malicious bots.
