This policy sets out how WireHerald sources, verifies and corrects what it publishes. It is a working document and we hold ourselves to it.
Sourcing
We report from primary sources wherever one exists: a company announcement, a funding filing, a regulator release, a research paper, a protocol document or an on-chain transaction. Secondary reporting helps us find stories; it does not replace checking the source.
Every article that draws on another publication names it and links to it. We do not republish other outlets, whole or rewritten, and we do not present another newsroom’s work as our own.
Verification
Funding figures, valuations, token prices, dates, names and quoted language are checked against the source before publication. Where a number is contested, a deal is unconfirmed or a market claim is disputed, the article says so in the same sentence, not in a footnote.
Independence
Commercial relationships do not influence editorial coverage. Sponsored articles, contributed columns and press releases are labelled on the page and kept out of our news feeds.
No member of the editorial team accepts payment, equity or tokens from an organisation they cover, and no one trades a token on the basis of reporting before it is published.
Bylines
Every article carries a named human byline with an author page stating that person’s beat and background. We do not publish under a generic newsroom or administrator byline.
Use of AI

Corrections
Errors of fact are corrected and disclosed on the article. We do not silently amend a published claim. Our corrections page explains the process.
Right of reply
Any organisation named critically in our reporting may respond, and we will carry a substantive response on the article. Requests go to the editor through Contact.
