Google Enters Design Market With AI Tool Google Pics
Google is entering the enterprise creative design market with a new artificial intelligence image-creation and editing tool called Google Pics, according to a report by TechCrunch. The product is designed to handle everyday workplace design tasks such as creating posters, social media posts, and digital illustrations through text prompts rather than manual design.
Powered by Google’s Nano Banana image-generation model, the software differs from traditional platforms like Canva and Adobe Express. While competitors feature human-created templates and asset marketplaces, Google Pics relies entirely on artificial intelligence generation. The platform includes features for collaborative editing, object isolation, and text translation within images.
The application is rolling out to enterprise customers over the coming weeks. It will be available to most Google Workspace users as well as subscribers of Google AI Pro or Ultra. Integration has already begun with Google Docs and Slides, with further availability planned for Google Drive, according to the company.
