Crusoe Secures $3.9B for AI Infrastructure

Data center developer Crusoe has raised $3.9 billion in a Series F funding round, pushing its valuation to $30.9 billion, according to a report by TechCrunch. The round was co-led by Atreides Management, Mubadala Capital, and Valor Equity Partners, with participation from Founders Fund, GIC, Nvidia, Qatar Investment Authority, Radical Ventures, and TPG.

TechCrunch reported that the fresh capital will finance existing data center projects, including a large site in Abilene, Texas, used by OpenAI, and smaller modular AI factories known as Spark. These transportable units are designed to deploy compute capacity quickly while bypassing traditional construction delays and local community pushback.

Founded in 2018, Crusoe has pivoted from its origins in crypto mining to artificial intelligence infrastructure. The company currently leases data center space, rents out graphics processing units, and sells compute power for model inference. Its customer base includes major technology firms such as Meta, Microsoft, and Oracle.
