Apple Set to Launch Siri-Powered HomeView Hub
Apple is reportedly preparing to announce a new smart home hub named the HomeView on Tuesday, according to information published by TechCrunch citing Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The upcoming hardware represents a significant push into the smart home sector for the company, following earlier struggles to gain substantial market traction with its HomePod speaker line and HomeKit software framework.
The HomeView device will be powered by an A18 chip and will feature built-in artificial intelligence capabilities through Siri, allowing users to manage connected home hardware. Reports indicate the device will be released in two distinct form factors, with one version built for standard countertops and another engineered for wall mounting.
Alongside the HomeView introduction, Apple is expected to reveal refreshed models of the HomePod mini and the Apple TV set-top box. Additional reports suggest the technology giant is also forging partnerships with brands like LG to develop integrated home accessories, including smart doorbells, thermostats, and smart locks.
