How to report an error
Email the editor through our contact page with the article URL and the specific claim you believe is wrong. If you can point to the source, that speeds things up.
What we do
We check the claim against the source. If we got it wrong, we fix the article and add a dated correction note saying what changed. We do not quietly edit a published claim and leave no trace.
Minor changes that do not alter meaning, such as a typo or a broken link, are fixed without a note. Anything that changes the substance gets a note.
